Low-Acid Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

This low-acid smoothie is delicious and nutritious. The almond and coconut milks neutralize the slightly acidic strawberries, so you can have a healthy snack without feeling the burn.

  • 1/3 banana, sliced
  • 3 large frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp carob powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Slightly thaw the strawberries by leaving them out for about 20 minutes, or zapping them in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Place all ingredients in the beaker of your immersion blender.
  • Set the wand in the bottom of the beaker, and then turn it on to low, letting the ingredients mix well. You can gently lift the wand up a bit to get a better mix, but not too far or you will have a mess on your hands.
  • When all the ingredients are mixed, remove the wand and pour the smoothie into a glass to enjoy!
